RESTORE! patients receive care at the Friedman Neurological Rehabilitation Center at Sinai Hospital, which provides acute inpatient neurorehabilitation services to adults recovering from a brain injury, stroke or other neurological disorder. It is one of the most advanced facilities in the region and is staffed by the highest number of ACBIS-certified brain injury specialists in the state of Maryland.
We maintain an expert interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses and therapists with specialized certifications and training in neurorehabilitation. The Neurological Rehabilitation Center features a state-of-the-art gym with advanced technology and dynamic therapy equipment, designed to facilitate the participation and recovery of patients with functional mobility, gait, balance, visuospatial, cognitive and swallowing deficits. Our facilities include a simulated community training environment with a grocery store, bus stop, ATM, mailboxes, outdoor surfaces and car as well as a fully equipped apartment for practicing daily activities in preparation for returning home.
All patient rooms are private and can be adapted to meet a patient's rehabilitative needs, particularly those related to safety and noise/visual stimulation.
