Why orthopaedics? I knew I wanted to be an orthopaedic surgeon ever since I went on a medical mission trip with a hand surgeon to Bolivia. I was captivated by the surgeon’s ability to impact someone’s life by restoring function after a life-changing injury. Orthopaedics is the perfect career for me because it incorporates my interests in anatomy, passion for sports, and requires creative problem solving. I am especially excited to be part of a field that is constantly growing and advancing with the development of new technologies.

Why orthopaedics? The opportunity to restore biomechanical function to a person’s life is unparalleled in orthopedics. As someone who has dealt with several MSK injuries in the past, I know firsthand the value of regaining one’s functional status and the significant impact it can have physically, mentally, and spiritually.
