Palliative care provides relief from pain and suffering as well as stress management through quality of life approaches for patients facing critical illnesses and their families. Palliative care can begin as soon as someone receives a diagnosis and continue through treatment by honoring patients' wishes and values.
Sinai is buying the materials to make the blankets in collaboration with Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores. Sinai is part of LifeBridge Health, one of the largest health care providers in Maryland. It also includes Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital and other related subsidiaries and affiliates.
