Victor Pekar, R.N., receives Carroll Hospital's April DAISY Award

Registered nurse Victor Pekar, medical/surgical unit, was presented with Carroll Hospital's April DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital since January, Pekar was recognized for his extraordinary care of patients. 

"Victor's compassion and willingness to keep family members consistently informed of their loved one's condition while at the hospital during the pandemic made a huge difference to patients and their families. His exceptional patient care exemplifies the kind of care the DAISY Award was meant to honor," said Stephanie Reid, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Carroll Hospital.

Carroll Hospital's DAISY Award honors outstanding healthcare professionals at the hospital. It is given to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse each month to recognize his or her extraordinary efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.

Carroll Hospital, a LifeBridge Health Center, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and da continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
