Second Annual Distinguished Nursing Lecture Held at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore

Baltimore, MD - Sinai Hospital recently hosted the 2017 Distinguished Nursing Lecture made possible through the generosity of Mary. S. Tilbury, EdD, RN, NEA-BC, a former Sinai Hospital board member and a national leader in nursing administration education.

About 165 nurses and nursing students from around the Baltimore/DC region attended the lecture and received CE credit.

The speaker was Dorrie K. Fontaine, RN, PhD, FAAN, and the topic was "Developing Resilience Through Compassionate Care: A Strategy That May Reduce Burnout."

In addition to nurses from around the area, Dr. Jonathan Ringo, the president of Sinai, also attended the lecture and thanked Dr. Tilbury for making such a best-practices premier event possible. A reception was held after the lecture.
