President and CEO of LifeBridge Health Elected as Board Member of Greater Baltimore Committee
Baltimore, MD - Neil Meltzer, president and CEO of LifeBridge Health, has joined the Board of Directors of the Greater Baltimore Committee, one of 17 business leaders from organizations across the region recently selected to serve a two-year term. Before becoming a board member, Meltzer served on the organization's President's Advisory Committee.
Through the work of the Greater Baltimore Committee, innovators representing more than 500 businesses, nonprofits, educational and civic institutions come together to tackle issues related to job creation, workforce development, economic growth, transportation and quality of life in the greater Baltimore region.
Under Meltzer's leadership, LifeBridge Health, a nonprofit organization, has become one of the largest, most comprehensive and highly respected providers of health-related care in Maryland and across the region, advocating for prevention, wellness and fitness services.
LifeBridge Health now has more than 10,000 employees at Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, and related subsidiaries and affiliates. These include ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers, more than 1,700 doctors in physician practices across the area, National Respiratory Care, LLC, and Pulse Medical Transportation.
Meltzer's commitment to strengthening communities is well-known. Over the past decades, he has served as national chairman of the American Heart Association, teaming up with former President Bill Clinton to celebrate schools that champion healthy lifestyles. He has also made time to serve on the National Health Care Workforce Commission, Baltimore City Workforce Investment Board, the Maryland Hospital Association Board, the President's Advisory Council for the Notre Dame of Maryland University, and the Maryland Workforce Investment Board Health Care Committee.
