Northwest Hospital Names Dr. Kim Bushnell as Chief Nursing Officer

Baltimore, MD - Kim Bushnell, DNP, MSN, RN has joined Northwest Hospital as chief nursing officer. Dr. Bushnell oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the nursing department at Northwest Hospital as well as continues to align the nursing staff with the overall mission and values of LifeBridge Health.  

Dr. Bushnell brings strong leadership experience to her new role with Northwest Hospital and LifeBridge Health. Throughout her career, she has held roles of increasing responsibility in leading health care institutions throughout central Maryland. Her diverse clinical background includes trauma and emergency, critical care and flight nursing.

Additionally, Dr. Bushnell had worked at LifeBridge Health in various capacities earlier in her career. She previously served as Northwest Hospital's director of emergency services and as interim director of the progressive care unit and staffing office. For two years, she served as Sinai Hospital's director of patient care and the emergency department.

Dr. Bushnell also regularly shares her expertise in nursing in numerous peer-reviewed journals and publications. She earned a Doctoral degree in nursing at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, a Master's degree in nursing at Catholic University and a Bachelor's degree in nursing from George Mason University.
