Melissa Frank receives Carroll Hospital's September DAISY Award

Registered nurse Melissa Frank, discharge coordinator, recently received Carroll Hospital's September DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital for 13 years, Frank was recognized for going above and beyond her duties to help a patient avoid missing a meaningful event due to her hospitalization.

"Melissa is an extraordinary nurse who routinely goes out of her way for her patients. In this case, she took time out of her already busy schedule to make the calls necessary to help a patient attend a special event," said Stephanie Reid, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Carroll Hospital.
 
Carroll Hospital's DAISY Award honors outstanding health care professionals at the hospital. It is given to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse each month to recognize his or her extraordinary efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.
