Maryland Patient Safety Center Recognizes Three Programs from Sinai Hospital of Baltimore as Circle of Honor Winners for 2022 Minogue Awards for Patient Safety Innovation

Maryland Patient Safety AwardBaltimore, MD - The Maryland Patient Safety Center recently announced that three programs from LifeBridge Health's Sinai Hospital of Baltimore have been named Circle of Honor winners for the 2022 Minogue Awards for Patient Safety Innovation. The award-winning programs are:

  • A Collaborative Approach to Reduce Severe Maternal Morbidity (SMM) for obstetric patients presenting to the emergency department (ED)
  • Elopement Evidence-Based Mitigation and Management
  • "PLATO Rounds: An Evidence-Based Collaborative Approach to improving outcomes"

The honorees were selected by a panel of independent judges who are leaders in the Maryland health and medical community. "We are grateful for this recognition of the contributions our team members are making to advancing patient safety and quality care not only within LifeBridge Health facilities, but on a state and national level as well" says Daniel Blum, president of Sinai Hospital and Grace Medical Center. Blum is also senior video president at LifeBridge Health. The award winners will be recognized and present their solutions at the 18th Annual Maryland Patient Safety Conference, which will be held in person on March 4, 2022.
