Baltimore, MD "“ Leslie Simmons, RN, MA, FACHE, executive vice president and chief operating officer for LifeBridge Health, has been named an Influential Marylander for 2022 by The Maryland Daily Record.

The Daily Record launched Influential Marylanders in 2007 to recognize those who have made significant impacts in their field and continue to be leaders in Maryland.

Forty-eight Influential Marylanders were selected by the editors of The Daily Record for their significant contributions to their respective fields and for their leadership in Maryland in the following areas: civic leadership, communications, education, finance, freestyle, general business, health care, law, philanthropy, real estate and technology.

"It is an honor to be recognized alongside so many other top leaders who are making a difference across our state," says Simmons. "LifeBridge Health is proud to lead in so many ways, well beyond medical services, in the communities we serve and this recognition offers further validation that we are playing a lead role in helping make Maryland a better, safer, healthier place to live and work."

Simmons has served as a key leader for LifeBridge Health for more than two decades, taking on roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, she was focused on leading LifeBridge Health's organizational response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The 2022 Influential Marylanders are, quite simply, inspirational. Their hard work and dedication to their fields have changed the landscape of Maryland through their extraordinary efforts," says Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, senior group publisher of The Daily Record. "The Daily Record congratulates this year's honorees."

Simmons and other award recipients will be honored at a reception on July 28, 2022 at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley, MD. She was previously recognized as one of The Daily Record's "Top 100 Women in Maryland" in 2018, 2016 and 2012 and was inducted into the Circle of Excellence. She was also named one of The Baltimore Sun's "Top 25 Women to Watch".
