LifeBridge Health’s Amanda Shrout Named Among Maryland’s 2024 Leading Women Under 40

News

Amanda Shrout, director of the emergency departments at Sinai Hospital and Grace Medical Center, has been recognized as one of the Daily Record’s “2024 Leading Women Under 40.”

These awards honor women who are younger than 40 years of age for the accomplishments they have made so far in their careers. Winners were selected for the honor based on their professional experience, community involvement and commitment to inspiring change. The honorees were chosen by previous Leading Women Under 40 honorees and a representative of The Daily Record.

Amanda’s influence on the emergency department and Life Bridge Health goes beyond her skills as a nurse. Along with her clinical skills in providing compassionate care, she is a passionate leader who advocates for her patients and team members. She has gained recognition over the past several years from the Maryland Patient Safety Center and has received awards for her quality and patient safety innovation. Amanda’s emergency department team at Sinai has also gained recognition for preventing pressure injuries.

“One of Amanda’s greatest strengths is her ability to understand the operational elements of healthcare while balancing this with the compassion and clinical excellence required to provide high quality care,” says Amy Shlossman, president and chief operating officer of Sinai Hospital and Grace Medical Center.

“Amanda is laser focused on engaging her team in providing safe, quality care to every patient who comes to the Sinai and Grace emergency departments,” adds Shlossman, who is also senior vice president at LifeBridge Health.

This year's Leading Women Under 40 will be honored at a reception and awards celebration on Aug. 21.
