LifeBridge Health Names Leslie Simmons as Chief Operating Officer
Baltimore, MD "“ LifeBridge Health recently announced that Leslie Simmons, RN, FACHE, has been named chief operating officer (COO) for the healthcare system, in addition to her role as executive vice president. As COO, among her many responsibilities, Simmons is leading the health system's response to COVID-19, including all clinical operations. 
"Leslie is a key member of the executive team who has helped to define and execute the strategic vision for LifeBridge Health. With her clinical background as a nurse, she also brings a deep connection and relatability to our frontline staff, and she is a passionate advocate for our team members. Simmons will continue to oversee three of the five LifeBridge Health centers "“ Carroll and Northwest hospitals and Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital "“ as well as several systemwide functions representing total revenues of more than $550 million and 4,500 employees. In partnership with each hospital's leadership, Simmons will continue to help advance collaboration among all aspects of the healthcare system.
Simmons joined the leadership team in 2015 when Carroll Hospital became part of LifeBridge Health. She led Carroll Hospital for two decades in various capacities. She earned her Master of Arts in Management at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Outside of her role with LifeBridge Health, Simmons serves on the Maryland Hospital Association (MHA) Executive Committee as well as the MHA Legislative Council as its chairperson.
