LifeBridge Health Names Jonathan Ringo, M.D., as First Chief Medical Information Officer
Jonathan Ringo, M.D., has joined LifeBridge Health in the newly created position of Chief Medical Information Officer. With experience and knowledge of clinical informatics and population health management, Ringo will lead LifeBridge Health in adapting clinical information systems to better serve patients and staff.
Ringo comes to LifeBridge Health from the NorthShore LIJ Health System in New York where he served as director of population health information. Among his areas of expertise are population health, hospital information systems, health care quality indicators, medical education and managed care programs.
Ringo earned his medical degree from InterNational University of the Health Sciences and served as the administrative chief resident at Sinai Hospital, where he was involved in medical student and resident education. He is a two-time winner of the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, which he still practices.
