LifeBridge Health Launches Innovative Clean & Green Team to Care for Communities

News

Baltimore, MD - As part of the celebration of its 20th anniversary, LifeBridge Health is launching a unique community service initiative - the LifeBridge Health Clean & Green Team, a partnership with Park Heights Renaissance.

The team will take on a variety of community projects in areas served by LifeBridge Health facilities, including Sinai, Northwest and Carroll hospitals and Levindale. The team will be a visible example of LifeBridge Health's community mission and will work in neighborhoods ranging from Park Heights to Roland Park, Owings Mills to Reisterstown, Towson to Westminster and points in between.

"LifeBridge Health launched this project to make an immediate, positive impact on the quality of life in the communities we serve," says Brian M. White, executive vice president at LifeBridge Health, one of the state's largest health systems. "We are passionate about making the neighborhoods where our patients and employees live and work more vibrant, thriving places. We are eager to work together with our community partners to see how this innovative initiative can make a difference in our communities."

LifeBridge Health is partnering with the Park Heights Renaissance (PHR) organization to expand the areas and the work being done by the PHR team now known as the LifeBridge Health Clean & Green Team. The services they are offering include everything from landscaping, lawn care and litter removal to painting, minor repairs and other projects to benefit many neighborhoods and communities.

LifeBridge Health is supporting the effort with a grant that will fund increased manpower and upgraded equipment as the team takes on projects in neighborhoods in Baltimore City and Baltimore and Carroll Counties as well as other areas LifeBridge Health serves in central Maryland.

"We are thrilled to partner with LifeBridge Health to expand the efforts of the Clean & Green Team," says Marcus Pollock, executive director of PHR. "We look forward to building on this partnership that will help beautify neighborhoods and stimulate economic development. This new partnership will also offer increased employment opportunities for team members and allow them to showcase their talents and work ethic outside of our traditional service area.

The LifeBridge Health Clean & Green Team will work with community associations, nonprofits and other partners to identify priority projects for the team. To learn more about the Clean & Green Team visit, lifebridgehealth.org/cleanandgreen.
