LifeBridge Health Chief Population Health Officer Dr. Susan Mani Named One of the Baltimore Sun's "25 Women to Watch" for 2020
Baltimore, MD "” LifeBridge Health Chief Population Health Officer Dr. Susan Mani was named one of the Baltimore Sun's "25 Women to Watch" for 2020. 
In her role with LifeBridge Health, Dr. Mani is a leading voice in a national conversation on how health systems can play an important role in their communities to improve the health of populations beyond what is done within the four walls of a hospital. Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Mani was tapped by the Maryland Department of Health to leverage her knowledge of and experience with population health initiatives to lead a statewide Taskforce on Vulnerable Populations for COVID-19.
Under Dr. Mani's leadership, LifeBridge Health has created a unique framework to ensure a data-driven and integrated approach to understanding and improving the health outcomes of the populations they serve throughout central Maryland. Dr. Mani and her team have used this platform to help serve the needs of vulnerable populations in an effort to minimize negative outcomes from COVID-19, leading this effort not only in central Maryland, but throughout the entire state through her work with the statewide taskforce. Dr. Mani and her team use sophisticated data analysis and modeling that examine risk levels down to a city block level so that LifeBridge Health's own population health team, as well as county and city health departments, can deploy resources in the most targeted manner possible.
Dr. Mani was one of 25 women named to The Baltimore Sun's "Women to Watch" list in 2020. The award honors some of the most accomplished, powerful, and intriguing women in the Baltimore area right now, acting as leaders in advocacy, business, and health.
Nominations for the Hall of Fame award were solicited from Baltimore Sun readers and winners were selected by a committee consisting of the Baltimore Sun's newsroom staff.
