LifeBridge Health Announces Postponement of Elective Surgeries, Effective March 18

News

Baltimore - In response to COVID-19, LifeBridge Health is postponing all elective procedures effective Wednesday, March 18. Elective procedures also include all routine diagnostics.

This policy does NOT apply to urgent or emergent procedures, which will be determined by a patient's care team.

These changes affect Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale and Grace Medical Center, as well as hospital-based ambulatory and outpatient surgery centers. LifeBridge Health teams will be reaching out to patients to talk to them about postponing their upcoming elective procedures.

LifeBridge Health will re-evaluate every two weeks and make updates as conditions warrant.

Right now, these changes do not affect the Surgicenters in Owings Mills and Ellicott City.

We apologize for the inconvenience to our patients but, as always, their health and safety, as well as the health and safety of our communities and our staff, is our top priority.

LifeBridge Health will provide updates on its COVID-19 response plans at: lifebridgehealth.org/COVID19
