LifeBridge Health Announces Appointment of Barry F. Levin as Chairman of its Board of Directors

Barry F. LevinBaltimore, MD - Barry F. Levin, managing partner of Saul Ewing LLP, is the new chairman of the LifeBridge Health Board of Directors. After serving as the vice chair of the board for the past two years, Levin officially took over the chairmanship from Jason A. Blavatt at the health system's annual board meeting on June 15.

"Barry comes from a family dedicated to community service, and we know how fortunate we are to have someone with his business acumen, character and commitment to lead our board through the intricacies of this evolving health care industry," says Neil Meltzer, president and CEO of LifeBridge Health.

Levin has been active in the field of law for more than 30 years and is very involved in moving the Baltimore business community forward. At his law firm, which has 11 offices throughout the Northeast United States, he oversees daily operations, client relations, strategic planning and business development. As an outside general counsel, he has represented clients across a variety of industries ranging from retail to real estate.

With many personal and family connections to LifeBridge Health, in particular Sinai Hospital, Levin began his official LifeBridge Health service on the Sinai board a decade ago and soon after joined LifeBridge Health's Audit and Compliance Committee, before becoming its chair. That committee spearheads efforts to ensure that LifeBridge Health follows regulations and procedures, both in operations and business, while maintaining transparency.

As Levin takes the chairmanship, he will be joined by these new LifeBridge Health board members: Brian Gibbons, Thomas Obrecht, Abba Poliakoff, Greg Rochlin and Paul Saval.
