Kerry Byrne, R.N., receives Carroll Hospital's March DAISY Award

Registered nurse Kerry Byrne, intermediate care unit, was presented with Carroll Hospital's March DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital since 2017, Byrne was recognized for going above and beyond her duties to help patients communicate more clearly with their family members virtually during the pandemic.

"Kerry's compassionate care during the pandemic made a huge difference for patients and their family members. She genuinely cares for patients' well-being and what's most impressive is that her compassionate care is not simply part of her job, it truly comes from her heart," said Stephanie Reid, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Carroll Hospital.

Carroll Hospital's DAISY Award honors outstanding health care professionals at the hospital. It is given to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse each month to recognize his or her extraordinary efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.

Carroll Hospital, a LifeBridge Health Center, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and da continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
