Jaime Elliott named Carroll Hospital's 2020 Patient Care Tech of the Year
Jaime Elliott was named Carroll Hospital's 2020 Patient Care Tech of the Year on June 18. An associate for more than 20 years, Elliott was chosen for her exceptional patient care and teamwork skills.
Elliott is a patient care technician in the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. She was nominated for her exceptional care and dedication to her team and her patients. She has been described as a hard worker with a positive attitude who always goes above and beyond to ensure patients receive the highest quality care.
"Jaime exceeds everyone's expectations on a daily basis with her dedication and patient care," said Linda Grogan, executive director of women's, children's and surgical services. "She's a true go-getter who always makes sure our exam rooms are fully stocked and ready to go for the day's patients and she assists in monitoring patients for any changes in their conditions," she added.
Elliott is one of a kind and extremely deserving of this award, said Stephanie Reid, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Carroll Hospital. Her welcoming smile and positivity make her a joy to work with and an uplifting presence for patients in her care.
"Jaime consistently exemplifies our hospital's SPIRIT values. We are extremely proud to have her as a member of our outstanding care team," she said. "I feel absolutely blessed and honored to receive this award," said Elliott. "This award shows everyone what kind of person I am"”caring, kind and a hard worker. It shows how much I love what I do"”taking care of patients each day," she added.
The Patient Care Tech of the Year is selected based on nominations from co-workers and the award is presented annually to a patient care tech during Patient Care Tech Week in June.
Carroll Hospital, a LifeBridge Health Center, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and a continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
