J. Mark Blue, M.D., named December Physician of the Month at Carroll Hospital
J. Mark Blue, M.D., orthopaedic surgeon, was chosen Carroll Hospital's December Physician of the Month. Affiliated with the hospital for 22 years, Dr. Blue was recognized for stepping in to perform an emergency surgery to prevent a patient from possibly losing a limb.
"When called for assistance in this case, Dr. Blue never hesitated to respond. Knowing the urgency of this procedure he truly went above and beyond his duties and in the process demonstrated his overwhelming commitment to ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care," said Mark Olszyk, M.D., vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer at Carroll Hospital.
Each month, Carroll Hospital recognizes the extraordinary patient care achievements of physicians, as well as advanced practice providers with a program called Physician/Provider WOW Service Awards.
