at Park Heights Barbershop

What: The LifeBridge Health "Care Happens Here" mobile van will offer COVID-19 vaccines to the first 50 people at an event with Live Chair Health at the Shear Images Barber Shop in Northwest Baltimore. It's all part of an afternoon of fun health activities also featuring health screenings (including blood pressure and body mass index) giveaways and more! 
Live Chair worked with the Shear Images to get the word out to its patrons and local residents about the event and the vaccinations, with nearly two dozen people already responding that they would be interested.
Live Chair Health works to address men's health by building on the trusted relationship between clients and barbers. Live Chair Health trains barbers to screen patrons for high blood pressure, BMI (body mass index) and other risk factors for heart disease and stroke.
The partners are also working Live Chair Health partnered with LifeBridge Health last year to expand the number of Baltimore-area barbershops participating in the program. together to connect barbershop patrons to health services. For this event, the partners looked to see if the barbershop event could be a way to bring the COVID vaccine to people in Park Heights.
Live Chair co-founder and CEO Andrew Suggs will also be on site for the event, along with Live Chair advisor and LifeBridge Health cardiologist Dr. Athol Morgan.
