A First for ExpressCare, a LifeBridge Health Partner, as It Expands into Delaware

News

ExpressCareIt is a groundbreaking move for ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers, Maryland's fastest growing and second largest urgent care company and a LifeBridge Health partner. For the first time, it has expanded its services outside of the state and into Delaware. The newest clinic becomes the eleventh ExpressCare location.

ExpressCare has acquired an existing walk-in medical clinic, Eden Hill Express Care (a separate company), which opened its doors in2008 at 200 Banning Street. The clinic, already popular in the Dover community, treats more than 25,000 patients each year- a testament to its outstanding service.

"The physicians who started the original walk-in clinic at this location, and the other doctors practicing there now, are remaining and will continue treating patients, so ExpressCare will continue to deliver the same high quality services with added benefits," said Maurice Reid, M.D., ExpressCare's CEO and chief medical officer. "What's new is that there will be extended service hours, dispensing of prescription medication onsite, the addition of a patient care hotline and our signature, next-day follow-up phone calls."

The Eden Hill ExpressCare walk-in medical center is open 365 days per year: on weekdays from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

"ExpressCare shares our vision of accessible, high quality, efficient care, and we think that Dr. Reid and his staff are an ideal match to provide our patients with even more services, which is our number one priority," said Robert Chrzanowski, M.D. one of the founders of Eden Hill Express Care. "Additionally, with clinics across Maryland, we can now provide a far-reaching network of care for the families who rely on us for their urgent care needs."

"We are happy to see that our partner, ExpressCare, is expanding its footprint in the mid-Atlantic region," said Neil Meltzer, president and CEO of LifeBridge Health. "We already know that providing patients the opportunity to receive excellent treatment in many different locations is what they want and need."

Last October, ExpressCare partnered with LifeBridge Health, one of the largest, most comprehensive healthcare organizations in the region that includes Sinai, Northwest Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Courtland Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and related affiliates and subsidiaries.
