The Family Tree Taps Stacy Brown To Be Next Executive Director
Baltimore, MD – The Family Tree, a recognized leader in child abuse prevention and an affiliate of LifeBridge Health, announced today that after an expansive search it has selected Stacey Brown to be the next Executive Director of the organization. For the better part of the last decade, Brown has worked at The Family Tree as director of Programs and Research and as Manager of Family Education and Support Services. Brown succeeds Patricia Cronin who retired earlier this year.
“From a field of over 100 candidates, Stacey excelled in demonstrating herself as leader with vision, empathy, and a clear understanding of utilizing modern strategies to strengthen families in our community,” says Adam Rosenberg, vice president for Violence Prevention and Intervention at LifeBridge Health. “Along with bringing fresh ideas, a solid plan forward and an engaging presence, her history with The Family Tree, Maryland, and the field itself were seen as strong assets for our next leader. Stacey will be instrumental in helping us establish The Family Tree as a center of excellence and leading the organization for years to come.”
Brown’s background is deeply rooted in working with families who have experienced trauma and abuse and are in need of support. In addition to her work at The Family Tree, Brown held positions at Baltimore Regional Housing Partnership and at University of Maryland Medical Center in their Family Informed Trauma Treatment Center.
“I am excited to move into the role of executive director at The Family Tree, an organization close to my heart where I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact for years to come,” says Brown. “There is nothing more gratifying than working on behalf of Maryland families to prevent child maltreatment statewide.”
For over 50 years, The Family Tree has provided life-changing parenting education and support to families committed to breaking the cycle of child abuse and strengthening their families. The Family Tree has locations on Charles Street in Baltimore and in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
