Daniel J. Durand, M.D., Now Leading the Department of Radiology at LifeBridge Health
Baltimore, MD - LifeBridge Health has named Daniel J. Durand, M.D., as its chairman of radiology. He is leading a team of board-certified radiologists and technologists who provide patient-centered, innovative diagnostic services in three separate divisions: diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine and interventional radiology. Dr. Durand also serves as executive director of clinical alignment strategy for LifeBridge Health.
Dr. Durand joins LifeBridge Health from Johns Hopkins Hospital where he had been an adjunct assistant professor of radiology and a pediatric radiologist since 2011. He also served as the director of accountable care for Johns Hopkins HealthCare and led operations for the Johns Hopkins Medicine Alliance for Patients, Maryland's largest accountable care organization.

Dr. Durand completed his medical education, internship and residency at Hopkins, where he also went on to complete fellowships in musculoskeletal and molecular imaging. Dr. Durand is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology.
Before his recent roles at Hopkins, Dr. Durand was vice president of clinical transformation for Evolent Health, a health care IT startup in Arlington Virginia, and an associate for McKinsey & Company in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Durand has written more than 80 peer-reviewed scientific papers, abstracts, editorials and book chapters. His papers have appeared in publications such as the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the American Medical Association. He sits on several national committees for the American College of Radiology and frequently speaks on the topic of value-based care and its implications for the field of radiology.
