Daniel J. Durand, M.D. Appointed as Chief Clinical Officer at LifeBridge Health
Baltimore, MD - LifeBridge Health is pleased to announce that Daniel J. Durand, M.D. will assume the role of chief clinical officer at the healthcare organization on July 1, 2021. He will also continue to serve as chair of the Department of Radiology at LifeBridge Health. 
In his new position, Dr. Durand will oversee the performance of the LifeBridge Health Clinically Integrated Network, which includes focusing on patient and provider experiences while guiding improvements to quality of care and cost for value-based contracts.
Dr. Durand brings his expertise in innovation and data utilization to work with LifeBridge Health physician practices to drive performance in quality, utilization, patient access and network integrity. In addition, he will play a key role as LifeBridge Health strategically shapes and grows its provider network.
Dr. Durand joined LifeBridge Health five years ago in the dual roles as chair of radiology and executive director of physician alignment. During that time, he also was a leader in the formation of the LifeBridge Health Clinically Integrated Network and the Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organization.
In 2018, Dr. Durand was named vice president and chief innovation officer, spearheading significant growth in funded research at LifeBridge Health, the expansion of the BioIncubator program at Sinai Hospital and the launch of the 1501 Health digital health incubator in partnership with CareFirst.
In addition, Dr. Durand has been at the center of LifeBridge Health's efforts to implement artificial intelligence to improve patient care, engage patients using remote monitoring technology and develop a seamless digital experience for patients. He is boarded in both adult and pediatric radiology, and he trained at Johns Hopkins.
As Dr. Durand takes on these new responsibilities, Pothik Chatterjee has been appointed as assistant vice president of Innovation and Operations Support. He will build on the strong foundation that 
Dr. Durand and he have put into place with the LifeBridge Health innovation team over the past few years, continuing to create key partnerships and unique opportunities to shape healthcare solutions.
