Why:
The Jennifer Gandel Kachura Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sinai cares for premature and critically ill newborns. The staff also provides extensive emotional support and educates families about providing ongoing care at home. Newborns can spend a few days or several months in the NICU after they are born, and families often become very close with their caregivers and other families.
