Charles Kluge Named Physician Assistant of the Year by the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants

Charles Kluge, P.A.-C., was chosen as the Physician Assistant of the Year by the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants for his extraordinary efforts in going above and beyond the call of duty in his care of patients.

Affiliated with the hospital for 21 years, Kluge was recognized as epitomizing the values of physician assistants in providing the highest standard of patient care and serving as a mentor, educator and leader in his profession. 

"Charles is an exemplary P.A., who consistently raises the bar with his uncompromising commitment to patients. We are proud to have him as a member of our medical team, one we can always count on," said Mark Olszyk, M.D., chief medical officer and vice president of medical affairs at Carroll Hospital.

"I'm still stunned at receiving the award, it is very humbling as I know many deserving P.A.s. There are many surgeons, physicians and P.A.s who have impacted my career and development and have had a part in me getting this award," said Kluge.

Kluge has more than 30 years of experience caring for patients. He received his degree in physician assistant studies from Kettering College of Medical Arts in Kettering, Ohio and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland.
