Carroll Hospital Team Members Receive Awards For Providing Outstanding Patient Care
Each of the team members was thanked and recognized for going above and beyond their normal duties, which exemplified the hospital's SPIRIT values (spirit, performance, innovation, respect, integrity and teamwork).
The following is a list of the awardees:
Kim Rose, R.N., Family Birthplace, who received the March Daisy Award for her compassionate care of a patient during her stay in The Family Birthplace.
Sheila Deriso, R.N., emergency department, who was chosen as the April Daisy Award winner for stepping in to recite a heartwarming prayer for a patient and the patient's family members upon their request.
James Creegan, main stationary engineer, who was named May's SuperStar of the Month for going above and beyond his duties to repair a television and keyboard to allow a pediatric patient to play a game on TV during his hospital stay.
Hollie Green, unit secretary, medical/surgical unit, who received the June SuperStar of the Month award for helping to ensure a patient had everything she needed for a safe discharge, and for consistently going beyond her normal duties to assist her colleagues.
Erika Hebden, R.N., critical care unit, and Bethany Rasche, social worker, care management department, who both received the June Dragonfly Award. Hebden was awarded for her compassionate care of a patient and assistance in diagnosing her illness, while Rashe was awarded for working tirelessly to ensure a patient had the proper accommodations once discharged from the hospital.
Community members and hospital employees are encouraged to nominate a hospital team member who has demonstrated a special dedication and devotion to his/her job in a variety of ways.
