Carroll Hospital to host 21st Annual Pink Fling presented by Advanced Radiology from October 1 to October 31

News

Join the Carroll Hospital Foundation in painting the town pink in honor of breast cancer survivors by sponsoring Paint Carroll Pink from October 1 through 31. On Saturday, October 23, the public is invited to the hospital grounds for a drive through celebration of survivors and to pick up their pre-purchased Pink Elephant grab bag and silent auction items. The event is being held as part of the Foundation's 21st annual Pink Fling presented by Advanced Radiology. All proceeds benefit the Center for Breast Health at Carroll Hospital.

By becoming a sponsor, individuals and businesses will help spread the message of early detection while supporting quality breast care. Mammograms are the best way to detect breast cancer early when it is easier to treat. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people delayed or avoided getting a mammogram, therefore, Carroll Hospital wants to raise awareness in our community that early detection saves lives.

A variety of sponsorship levels are available that directly benefit the Center for Breast Health and cancer survivorship programs at Carroll Hospital including Empower Sponsor, Pink Ribbon Sponsor, Friendship Sponsor and more. Len Stoler Chevrolet in Westminster recently became the Social Media sponsor and staff members presented a check for $10,000 to Heather Akers, event manager at the Carroll Hospital Foundation, on July 14.

Additionally, other area businesses are demonstrating their support of Pink Fling through creative and fun ways. The 1623 Brewing Company is holding its first-ever music festival to benefit Carroll Hospital's breast cancer services on Saturday, October 9. The all-day event will feature eight music acts of all genres before the 90-minute show by country music artist Matt Stell. The party kicks off at 12:30 p.m. with Stell taking the stage at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at 1623brewing.com/bands-and-brews. VIP tickets are $75 and general admission tickets are $50.
