Carroll Hospital Auxiliary to Hold Virtual "Here Comes the Sun" Ball
After careful consideration and on the advice of Carroll Hospital's medical staff, The Carroll Hospital Auxiliary is postponing the "in person" aspect of its 2021 "Here Comes the Sun" Ball due to COVID-19 safety concerns. The Auxiliary's traditional event of the season will instead be held as a virtual celebration honoring the many sponsors who have supported the hospital through their generous gifts toward construction projects at Carroll Hospital.
In addition to thanking Ball sponsors, the Auxiliary is providing opportunities for community members to support the hospital in advance of this fundraising event. The Auxiliary is holding its "Here Comes the Sun" Ball online silent auction from Saturday, September 18 to Friday, September 24. During the auction, participants can bid on a range of items.
The auction will end on September 24 at 3 p.m., and all proceeds will benefit the Auxiliary's pledge for the remaining Vision 2020 construction projects. Vision 2020 is the hospital's seven-year strategic plan to expand the hospital through projects such as constructing a skilled nursing home, redesigning the Critical Care Unit (CCU), and creating a dedicated observation unit, as well as constructing a new perioperative and surgical recovery area, and a new specialized pediatric care center. The entire expansion project is scheduled to be completed by 2022.
Pre-register to view items up for bid at the Ball's online silent auction, and to receive notification once the auction is live. To register or for more information, please call 410-871-7280 or visit CarrollAuxBall.org.
