Carroll Hospital Appoints New Chairs to its Boards

Carroll Hospital has appointed three new chairs to its non-profit Boards as well as several new board members effective July 1.

Alec Yeo, as chair of the Carroll Hospital Board of Directors, will provide leadership, set priorities and help ensure sound and compliant governance of the organization. He also will serve on the Carroll Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees. Yeo is the owner of The Goddard School in Eldersburg and has been a member of the Carroll Hospital Board since 2017. He also previously served as the Board's vice chair.

Mark Debinski has been appointed as the new chair of the Carroll Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees. A strong supporter of the hospital and volunteer leader for more than a decade, he is the president and chief operating officer of Bluewater Advisory & Bluewater Search. As chair, he also will serve as a member of the Carroll Hospital Board of Directors.

To provide governance over the Carroll Hospice Board, Ann Bollinger has assumed the role of chair of the Carroll Hospice Board of Trustees. An ardent supporter of Carroll Hospice, Bollinger has served in many volunteer positions to raise funds for Carroll Hospice including, most recently, chairing the Taste of Carroll. She currently works as a commercial risk advisor at Barnes Bollinger Insurance.

In addition to Yeo, Debinski and Bollinger, several individuals were appointed to the boards at Carroll Hospital, the Carroll Hospital Foundation and Carroll Hospice.

On the Carroll Hospital Board of Directors:

  • Thomas Zirpoli, Ph.D., has been appointed vice chair. A member of the Board since 2017, he is also a member of the LifeBridge Health Board of Directors, president and CEO of Target Community and Educational Services and a professor at McDaniel College.
  • Garrett Hoover has been appointed as a new member of the Carroll Hospital Board of Directors as well as the Carroll Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees. He is president and chief operating officer of Carroll Hospital and senior vice president of LifeBridge Health. He previously served as president and chief operating officer of Corning Hospital in Corning, New York.
  • Mark Goldstein, M.D., has been appointed as a new member. An emergency department physician at the hospital for nearly eight years, Goldstein also is the president of the medical staff.
  • Brian Moffett has been appointed as a new member. He is chair of the LifeBridge Health Board of Directors and a lawyer at Miles & Stockbridge in Baltimore.
  • Kiran Kuna, M.D., has been appointed as a new member. Affiliated with Carroll Hospital for nearly 14 years, Dr. Kuna is the chief of anesthesiology. He has served as a medical staff officer and is a member of the Carroll Hospital Foundation's Board of Trustees.

On the Carroll Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees:

  • Alex Myers has been appointed vice chair of the board. He is senior vice president of investments and branch director of Raymond James.
  • Chris Holt has been appointed as secretary of the board. He is executive vice president and market president for the Maryland Region
