News

More than $186,000 was raised to benefit Carroll Hospital programs and services during the 30th annual Carroll Golf Classic held at the Piney Branch Golf Club on September 25.

Golfers and volunteers enjoyed a day on the range, socially distanced to ensure a safe and healthy event.  During the tournament golfers were required to wear masks and teed off at different times, 10 minutes apart.  They also received grab n' go food and beverages, and were offered individual carts to drive.

In keeping with tradition, raffle tickets were sold before and during the event, resulting in more than $21,400 being raised for Carroll Hospital.

In addition, the Wampler Cup was awarded to the Standard Insurance sponsored team consisting of Dan Mastrangelo, Joe Bruns, Mike Pauley and Andy Hill. The Wampler Cup is named in honor of the late Atlee Wampler Jr., one of Carroll Hospital's founding fathers.

The Carroll Hospital Foundation extends a special thanks to this year's Carroll Golf Classic chair Gary Harris, vice president of Farmers and Merchants bank in Westminster, and to DPR Construction, the Golf Classic Tournament Sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.

Carroll Hospital, a LifeBridge Health Center, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and a continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
