Ashley Small, R.N., receives Carroll Hospital's June DAISY Award
Registered nurse Ashley Small, emergency department (ED), was presented with Carroll Hospital's August DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital for two years, she was recognized for her compassionate care of a patient.
"Ashley's compassion and willingness to go above and beyond her duties to not only care for this patient but also provide him with comfort and a sympathetic ear as he discussed his personal loss deserves special recognition with the DAISY Award," said Stephanie Reid, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Carroll Hospital.
Carroll Hospital's DAISY Award honors outstanding healthcare professionals at the hospital. It is given to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse each month to recognize his or her extraordinary efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.
