Antoinette Wright named Carroll Hospital's 2021 Patient Care Tech of the Year
Antoinette Wright was named Carroll Hospital's 2021 Patient Care Tech of the Year on June 16. A hospital team member since 2018, Wright was chosen for her compassion, patience and teamwork skills as part of the hospital's patient care tech team.
Co-workers repeatedly nominated Wright for her dedication to patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she consistently went above and beyond her duties to provide exemplary care, to talk and connect with patients, making them feel as comfortable as possible during their stay.
"Antoinette is an amazing patient care tech who is not only kind and compassionate but also well-organized and efficient to ensure patients always receive the highest quality of care. Her outstanding performance is a shining example of our hospital's SPIRIT values," says Stephanie Reid, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Carroll Hospital.
Wright says she is extremely honored to receive the award explaining that the award demonstrates how consistent teamwork, a commitment to service and giving of oneself can make a tremendous impact.
"I always come to work with the mindset to give of myself no matter the staffing, patient census, acuity or where I'm assigned. I just give it my all, all my energy to supporting my co-workers and addressing the needs and safety of patients and their families," said Wright. "I am truly thankful and blessed that my co-workers have acknowledged my efforts and chose to recognize me with this award."
The Patient Care Tech of the Year is selected based on nominations from co-workers and the award is presented annually during Patient Care Tech Week in June.
Carroll Hospital, a LifeBridge Health Center, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and a continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
