Annemarie Burda receives Carroll Hospital's December SuperStar of the Month Award

Annemarie Burda, emergency care technician, has been chosen as Carroll Hospital's December SuperStar of the Month. An associate for 27 years, Burda was recognized for going above and beyond her duties to convince a hesitant patient to come to the Emergency Department (ED) for immediate medical care.

"Annemarie is an outstanding team member whose patience, compassion and ability to convincingly educate this patient were key to ensuring he received the appropriate care and avoided a negative outcome," said Karen Lee, executive director of medical and emergency services, at Carroll Hospital.

Community members and hospital employees are encouraged to nominate a hospital staff member who has demonstrated a special dedication and devotion to his/her job in a variety of ways.
