Carroll Hospital Auxiliary

Serving the community since 1958

At Carroll Hospital, more than 500 community members are part of the hospital Auxiliary, of which approximately 200 are active volunteers. These volunteers dedicate their time, talents and resources to help Carroll Hospital offer the highest quality health care to the community.

This spirit of giving is nothing new. In fact, it started in 1958, when the original Auxiliary founders set out to raise funds to build a hospital close to home. In October 1961, their dream came true: Carroll Hospital opened its doors as a 62-bed, acute care facility.

The Auxiliary was the motivating force behind the original funding for the hospital, and has been a key contributing organization for monies to create new services, such as the introduction to couplet care and expansion of The Family Birthplace and the opening of the William E. Kahlert Regional Cancer Center and Tevis Center for Wellness.

Serving Carroll Hospital With Leadership and Dedication Since 1958

The Carroll Hospital Auxiliary Board was established in September 1958. Today, it continues to support the exceptional work of Carroll Hospital.

The board is comprised of dedicated volunteers and hospital leaders who provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by Amy Bloomberg, director of Volunteer Services, the Board-Director relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the board is both critical and valued. With the help of our community, the auxiliary remains a steadfast group devoted to advancing the welfare of the hospital through volunteer service and fundraising.
