The Residency Admissions Committee will review applications and select eligible candidates to advance to the interview stage. Below are the requirements and key details to guide your application process.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must:
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program before the residency start date.
- Pass the NBPTE exam by the April test date (for new graduates).
- Hold a valid Maryland physical therapy license before the residency begins.
- Maintain a current American Heart Association CPR Certification.
Additional Materials
Complete applications must include:
- Letter of Intent, including:
- Summary of prior clinical and educational experience.
- Reflection on current orthopedic clinical strengths and weaknesses.
- Personal goals for the residency.
- Two Letters of Recommendation, at least one of which should come from:
- A professional you’ve worked with in the past year.
- A current or former supervisor (or clinical instructor for recent graduates).
- An instructor or faculty member from your accredited physical therapy program.
