Tania Brown, PT, MPT
Director of Residency Program
Tania E. Brown has nearly three decades of experience treating patients with neurologic conditions. Her clinical experience has included polytrauma/traumatic brain injury (TBI), multiple sclerosis, cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) and other neurologic disorders in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. As the Residency Director for the Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program, she plays a vital role in clinical practice, multidisciplinary clinical care, program development, mentoring and leadership.
In addition to her clinical experience, Tania has served as an adjunct faculty member in the University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science, where she has taught in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program since 2009. She has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Department of Physical Therapy’s DPT Program, Baltimore City Community College Allied Health Division’s Physical Therapy Assistant Program and George Washington University’s Physical Therapy Program.
Tania is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, including the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy and Education Sections. She is also a member of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers and the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Rehabilitation Therapists.
Tania received her undergraduate degree from Frostburg State University and attended University of Maryland Baltimore for graduate school.
