Are you, your child or your grandchild looking to continue your education? Scholarships and Training Funds Available from the Carroll Hospital Foundation
Each spring, a number of scholarships are offered for those furthering their education. (Note: Not all of the scholarships are restricted to health care. Please read through the criteria for each to determine eligibility.) Please see below for information on 2024 scholarships:
Carroll Hospital Foundation Scholarships
This form is to be used to apply for the following scholarships:
- The College Scholarship Fund for Dependents of Team Members
This $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to one child of a full-time Team Member who has worked at Carroll Hospital or BridgingLife for at least three years. Dependent must have been accepted to an accredited 4-year college/university. The deadline for the application and all supporting materials is Friday, April 12, 2024. - The Virginia Minnick Auxiliary Scholarship
This scholarship will award $2,500 to one Junior Volunteer or the college-bound child or grandchild of a Team Member or Volunteer of Carroll Hospital or BridgingLife. The student must have been accepted to an accredited 4-year college/university. The deadline for the application and all supporting materials is Friday, April 12, 2024. - Team Member Scholarship created by Physicians of Indian Origin
This scholarship will award $1,000 to a Team Member of Carroll Hospital or BridgingLife who is pursuing their education at an accredited college/university or enrolling in a course to receive a certification in their current field (must have manager approval). The deadline for the application and all supporting materials is Friday, April 12, 2024.
Carroll County Healthcare Scholarship
Available for Carroll County high school seniors who will be pursuing a degree in a healthcare-related field and have been accepted to an accredited 4-year college/university. Four scholarships, each in the amount of $1,000, will be awarded. The deadline for the application and all supporting materials is Friday, April 12, 2024.
The Harold Glen and Audrey G. Benson Trumpower Employee Education Fund
This fund was established to assist Team Members in achieving a degree or certificate* and/or to help Team Members participate in professional conferences, advanced training and education programs. The Team Member must work for Carroll Hospital or BridgingLife for a minimum of one year, be in good standing with the organization and have manager’s approval. Requests are taken on a rolling basis throughout the year.
*Certification that is reimbursed by Carroll Hospital/BridgingLife under the LifeBridge Health reimbursement policy cannot be covered by the Fund.
Libman Nursing Scholarship
Available for eligible students living in Carroll County who are seeking a registered nursing degree at Carroll Community College. Two scholarships, each in the amount of $2,000, will be awarded to cover a student’s tuition, books and other fees while receiving training for their profession. The deadline for application and all supporting materials is Friday, May 17, 2024.
