Baltimore magazine's yearly list of top area nurses once again features some talented and dedicated team members from LifeBridge Health.

Seven nurses representing Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and one private practice were among the honorees chosen by a panel of highly experienced registered nurse advisers.

The 2017 Excellence in Nursing survey drew hundreds of nominations from nursing peers, supervisors and patients. LifeBridge Health staff members have been included on each list of top nurses since Baltimore magazine introduced the Excellence in Nursing survey in 2015.

In addition to soliciting nominations, Baltimore magazine calls on the Maryland Nurses Association, as well as major local hospitals, to help recruit RN advisers for the panel tasked with poring over nominations and determining the winners. The Excellence in Nursing survey recognizes health care's unsung heroes by giving honorees a platform to express their passion for their work and increasing awareness of nurses' many responsibilities and challenges.

This is the latest honor from Baltimore magazine for Lifebridge Health. Last November, more than 100 LifeBridge physicians were featured on the magazine's 2016 "Top Doctor" list.

This year's Excellence in Nursing survey winners were honored at a special dinner event at the Belvedere Hotel on April 19. They will also be featured in the May issue of Baltimore magazine, coinciding with National Nurses Week.
