Send a Valentine's Day Card to Kids at the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai
With your help, the staff at the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai can continue making Valentine's Day a memorable, fun-filled occasion for patients and their families.
The goal for the Valentine's Day 2017 campaign is to send out a total of 2,000 undersea-themed cards, along with some goodies, to pediatric patients who require an extended stay at the children's hospital, as well as youngsters who will be at these locations:
- Alfred I. Coplan Pediatric Hematology Oncology Outpatient Center
- Pediatric Emergency Department
- Hackerman-Patz House
- Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics
Since its inception three years ago, the Valentine's Day campaign has raised just over $15,000, said Marissa Guy, annual giving manager for the LifeBridge Health Department of Development. The funds support very important causes at the children's hospital, including the child life program and other patient and family needs.
One charitable gift on Valentine's Day could have a lasting impact.
"Every donation, small or large, makes a difference in the lives of our pediatric patients," Guy said.
The care team at the children's hospital has other fun things planned for pediatric patients during Valentine's week, including arts and crafts activities like a Hope for Henry cupcake decorating event. Cupcake creators from La Cakerie, a local bakery/café, will be on hand to help the children make Valentine's Day-themed treats.
You can order a child a Valentine's Day card online or by calling the development department at 410-601-4438.
But holidays don't have to be the only time you make a contribution. You can make a donation to the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai anytime, either online or by sending gifts to:
