This is a guest post by Laura Geissler, director of leadership, professional and organizational development at LifeBridge Health, and Tracey Ellison, vice president of human resources at Carroll Hospital.

We are pleased to announce the inaugural LifeBridge Health Leadership Academy at Towson University. Twenty-three physician and administrative senior leaders will participate in the first session. We plan to offer a second session this fall.

Developed as a strategic learning opportunity, the academy will focus on improving leadership skills as they relate to engagement, retention and the development of teams. It will also provide an opportunity for participants to form an internal leadership network geared toward positioning LifeBridge Health as a market leader and employer of choice for leadership and growth opportunities.

The academy consists of seven full days of learning and development at Towson University over a four-month period. Topics include the future of health care at LifeBridge Health and how we intend to transform and thrive in the health care landscape as we develop the next generation of leaders.

The LifeBridge Health Leadership Academy complements leadership education opportunities offered by the Center for Leadership and Professional Development (CLPD). To learn more, visit the CLPD page on BridgeNet.
