LifeBridge Health Emerging Leaders Program Graduates Class of 2017

The LifeBridge Health Emerging Leaders Program recently graduated its 2017 class. The participants completed the six-month program on June 13.

Created by the Center for Leadership and Professional Development in 2012 to build on LifeBridge Health's success and meet the needs of a diverse workforce, the Emerging Leaders Program grooms employees for professional growth, helping them gain valuable training, business and networking opportunities. Participants interact with LifeBridge Health executives and community leaders and are educated on key professional development topics such as emotional intelligence, collaboration, mentoring, current health care trends, and the Strength Deployment Inventory, an assessment tool that helps manage conflict and improve relationships within organizations. In addition, participants complete a capstone project.

The goal of the program is to contribute to the engagement and retention of LifeBridge Health's emerging leaders and help them transition into future leadership roles by increasing their knowledge of business and health care leadership characteristics and styles, and enhancing their ability to build professional relationships. Participants gain knowledge from LifeBridge executives who share philosophies as well as some of their own leadership experiences.

Although the Emerging Leaders Program does not guarantee promotion, some employees have indeed earned promotions following their participation in the program. In fact, 32 graduates from the program have received departmental promotions.
