J.E.D.I. Champion of the Month: Robert (Desi) Rotenberg
The J.E.D.I. office would like to recognize Desi Rotenberg for his contribution to LifeBridge Health’s justice, equity, diversity and inclusion efforts. Desi joined the J.E.D.I. council several months ago and became chair of the Interfaith employee resource group (ERG); he is making a huge impact. Desi is very thoughtful, he speaks with kindness, illustrates J.E.D.I. values and is dedicated. He runs the Interfaith ERG meetings and spiritual happy hour sessions very collaboratively and with a focus on each person's wellness and comfort. He has been a crucial part of difficult conversations, and his thoughtful contributions have made a big difference. Desi is a champion!
Q1. How long have you been with LifeBridge Health and what is your current role?
A. I have been with LifeBridge Health for 14 months. I am a physician assistant at BW Primary Care in Owings Mills, MD.
Q2. You bring so much passion into the work you do — what motivates you?
A. My faith informs my life. I am dedicated to the ideal that all people can be forces for good. As a primary care provider, I help patients find their voice, their innate goodness and the purpose for why they were created. My motivation comes from my connection to the Creator and the reasons for which I believe I was created.
Q3. Since starting at LifeBridge Health, what have you found most rewarding?
A. Making connections with a diverse group of people, and the mentorship. Everyone is willing to go beyond themselves for the greater good and to help others achieve their best lives.
