Q1. How long have you been with Center for Hope/LifeBridge Health and what is your current role?
A. I have been with Center for Hope and LifeBridge Health for over a year and a half as a data coordinator.
Q2. You bring so much passion into the work you do — what motivates you?
A. Understanding that both the DEI council and the J.E.D.I. Council can affect meaningful change in the lives of those within the system has been significant. Additionally, the lessons my grandmothers gave to me from an early age have been invaluable.
Q3. Since starting at Center for Hope and LifeBridge Health, what have you found most rewarding?
A. What has been most rewarding is observing the positive impact of our work on the community, through client surveys and a reduction in gun violence. This is why I believe it’s essential for the Center for Hope to establish a DEI. This will not only benefit our team but also further the LifeBridge Health and J.E.D.I mission of building a vibrant community in Baltimore.
Additionally, connecting with colleagues and mentors across the system, like Bettina Straight, Dr. Sybil Pentsil, LeeAnne Woods, Alisha Stegner and Dr. Mikaila Brown who have been instrumental in the growth of the council. Additionally, the growth of my own developments in leadership and career aspirations.
