Celebrating Excellence in Home Care Services
November is National Home Care & Hospice Month, a time to honor and celebrate the caregivers and providers who bring care to patients where they live. These individuals play an essential role in the well-being of patients as they recover from an injury or hospital stay or receive palliative care when an illness is terminal.
According to the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), an estimated 10,000 Americans reach 65 years of age each day. Consequently, the demand for healthcare services continues to rise. Home care and hospice services are a preferred choice for many patients, as they deliver personalized care with a significant cost savings over receiving care in inpatient settings. Home care enables many seniors to maintain their independence and age gracefully in familiar surroundings—a goal shared by 90 percent of Americans, according to NAHC estimates.
As part of the care continuum, several LifeBridge Health partner companies provide our patients with high quality, convenient and affordable homecare and hospice services. Our patients rely on these providers, just as they would at our hospitals and medical offices, for quality, personalized care delivered with compassion.
Our ancillary providers assist LifeBridge Health patients, family members and physicians with critical support at a crucial time in their care journey.
