Dr. Yatin Patel

Dr. Yatin Patel earned his medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine in Buffalo, NY. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers in New York City, NY. He then went on to complete a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the renowned American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL. During his time there, Dr. Patel provided sideline coverage to collegiate and high school sports teams.

Dr. Patel is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a subspecialty certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He has trained in and performs the latest arthroscopic techniques and procedures of the knee, shoulder and hip. Dr. Patel has a special interest in hip preservation surgery and specializes in the field of hip arthroscopy. He has been an Associate Instructor at the Arthroscopy Association of North America’s Masters Hip Arthroscopy Course.

Dr. Patel has conducted research and authored numerous publications in the field of minimally invasive surgery throughout his career. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy.

Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling with his family and playing baseball and tennis with his two kids.
