Grand Opening of Sinai Wellness and Education Suite at Park Heights Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore

What:  A new chapter begins in Park Heights as LifeBridge Health and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore (JCC) expand their already strong partnership with the grand opening of the Sinai Wellness and Education Suite at the Weinberg Park Heights JCC. 

The suite was created to provide a place for health and wellness opportunities for JCC members and their guests, with a special focus on supporting the growing Orthodox Jewish community in the area. 

The suite will be home to LifeBridge Health's on-site community wellness coordinator, Sherri Zaslow, who is uniquely qualified for her role as she is an integral part of the Park Heights community. Zaslow develops programs for the suite, often featuring LifeBride Health physicians and other medical experts, on topics such as nutrition, chronic disease management and women's health. Each program is created with cultural and social sensitivity. 

The opening event will feature remarks from leaders from LifeBridge Health, the JCC and The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will also include a blessing and hanging of the mezuzah by Rabbi Yisrael Motzen of Ner Talmud Greenspring Valley Synagogue.

  Why:  In an effort to provide inventive, impactful opportunities around health and wellness in the Park Heights community, LifeBridge Health and the JCC reached out to the Orthodox Jewish community to find out more about their needs and interests. The Sinai Wellness and Education Suite came as a result of those conversations and community interest in preventative care resources, wellness education and health screenings.
The dedication of the wellness and education suite comes nearly a year after LifeBridge Health and the JCC announced an expansion of their partnership into the Park Heights facility. The Weinberg Park Heights JCC is located just minutes from LifeBridge Health's flagship facility, Sinai Hospital.
