The Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (CIR) of Sinai Hospital is an acute, inpatient rehabilitation unit offering a multidisciplinary approach to therapeutic services for adult patients. This 23-bed unit is accredited by both The Joint Commission and the Commission for Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
We provide care for a variety of diagnoses, including joint replacements, cardiac surgery, amputation, chronic pain and general debility.
Our team of rehab specialists work closely together to provide family-centered and individualized care. Our goal is to maximize patients' function and return to the community with increased independence. All patients on the
unit receive three hours of rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational and speech therapies, in addition to 24-hour nursing care provided by a registered rehabilitation nurse.
We are located on the fifth floor of the Blaustein Building at Sinai Hospital.
