The Division of Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine at Sinai Hospital provides comprehensive endocrine consultative services to patients with a wide variety of endocrine and metabolic disorders, including:
- thyroid diseases
- diabetes
- lipid disorders
- osteoporosis and calcium disorders
- hypogonadism in men and women
- androgenic disorders in women
- diseases of the pituitary and adrenal glands
Sinai's Endocrinology staff of board-certified physicians and nurses provide state-of-the-art care. Diagnostic and treatment services include:
- thyroid ultrasound and biopsy
- radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer
- bone densitometry (DEXA scanning)
- continuous glucose monitoring assessment (CGMS) in patients with diabetes
- insulin pump therapy
- diabetes education
